Bat Lab Virtual Tour w/ Dr. Paul Faure
I am the Director of the McMaster Bat Lab. Scientists in my lab study the neural basis of behaviour in bats. More specifically, my lab studies animal bioacoustics (i.e. how bats echolocate, types of signals produced), neural mechanisms of hearing (i.e. how central auditory neurons in the bat brain process sound), acoustically evoked behaviour, and integrative physiology (i.e. hormones and reproduction, wound healing). My session will highlight some work in my field and give you a chance to ask questions about the world's only flying mammals—bats! - Dr. Faure
